A Note from That KEVIN

This week’s journey begins in Italy, where a place can announce itself through music long before you’ve found your way around its streets. We’ll follow that sound and the people who make it. Then we’re off to Indonesia, exploring the country one plate at a time. Food has a marvelous way of telling you where you are: the ingredients, the hands preparing them, and the traditions carried to the table all have a story. Finally, we come home to Yorktown, where the final major battle of the Revolutionary War changed the course of the American experiment. As we continue to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, it’s a place to visit with fresh eyes. Music, food, and history: three very different invitations to get out and discover something.

Closer to home, we once again cruised around Manhattan aboard The Atlantis last week. I’ve written about her before, but I don’t think I’ll ever tire of that view: the exquisite New York skyline alongside us, Lady Liberty ahead, and the city beginning to glow as evening settles in. It never gets old. Thanks to Captain Fred and his team for another wonderful night on the water.

The very next day brought a moment we’d been waiting for since our nominations earlier this summer. That KEVIN Show and The TEA Collective took home two New York State Broadcasters Association Awards for Excellence for our 2025 Christmas special, Such Tiny Shoulders, named after our debut Christmas record.

That special was a labor of love, built around a message of hope we wanted to share as widely as we could. To have the work recognized means a great deal to everyone who gave it a voice. The album continues to find listeners, and we’re considering adding a new track this holiday season. You can hear it now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube. We hope it becomes part of your celebrations when Christmas comes around again.
